Information
Cifra. Chemistry is a peer-reviewed scientific journal publishing original research and review articles based on experimental, theoretical, computational, and analytical methods in chemistry and chemical engineering. The journal focuses on research into the chemical composition, synthesis, structure, properties, and practical applications of inorganic compounds, polymeric materials, and chemical engineering systems.
The aim of the journal is to contribute to the advancement of fundamental and applied chemical research by publishing studies focused on gaining new insights into the properties and transformations of chemical substances and materials, developing new compounds and compositions, improving methods for their preparation, and exploring their potential practical applications.
Thematic areas of the journal:
– Inorganic and coordination chemistry — synthesis and structural characterization of new compounds (metal complexes, clusters, metal–organic frameworks), investigation of phase equilibria, and thermal and hydrolytic stability.
– Polymer chemistry — development of polymer synthesis protocols (including polymers with controlled architectures), investigation of structure–property relationships, surface modification, and development of composite materials.
– Chemical engineering systems — kinetics and catalysis, modeling of reactors and mass-transfer processes, development of energy-efficient and green methodologies, and issues related to raw-material processing.
Priority is given to studies in which:
– a new synthesis method is proposed or an existing method is substantially improved;
– a correlation is established between the structure of a substance at the atomic or molecular level and its functional properties;
– a comparative study of a series of related compounds is conducted, with clear patterns and relationships identified.
Interdisciplinary studies at the intersection of chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, and related fields are welcome, provided that the key scientific results are obtained using chemical methods (spectroscopy, diffraction, chromatography, electrochemistry) and concern changes in chemical composition or structure.
The journal is published in Russian and English.
Publication for all categories of authors is free of charge.
